For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice about 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
- 1 tsp dried parsley or 1 tbsp fresh parsley
For Garnish (Optional):
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp grated parmesan cheese
Pat shrimp dry; season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter; add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add cream, parmesan, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and parsley; simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Return shrimp to skillet; toss to coat in sauce.
Garnish with parsley and parmesan; serve hot.
